An RAF Airman's Blog

Exercise 6

Not a lot to report after the last blog, the rest of today has been a all about the admin side of our future deployment. Paperwork, journals, logs, audit trails…dull but important.

It’s the stuff that will justify to the taxpayer that their…our money is being well spent.

And it’s also all about building up a picture of the areas that we are working in to assist both ourselves to understand that area and how it ticks, but also to understand who in the local area makes it tick. About meeting them, learning about them and trying to understand their motivations in what they want for their local areas – because most of the local leaders want to provide schools, clinics and markets for their people.

And it’ll be our job to help them provide it…and having seen that, I can’t wait to get out there and give it a go.
